HAND

SURGERY

Dr Allan’s postgraduate training included extensive experience in hand surgery, and he has since performed thousands of traumatic and hand surgeries, from replantation of fingers to complex fractures and tendon and nerve injuries.

Dr Allan can assist you with the treatment of conditions and injuries affecting the hand, wrist and forearm, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, nerve injuries, Dupuytren’s disease, and congenital hand deformities. Typically, these conditions need a referral from your General Practitioner and require careful examination to create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Depending on your condition, hand surgery may involve both surgical and non-surgical approaches. Dr Allan aims to restore functionality, alleviate pain, and improve the quality of life for individuals experiencing hand and upper extremity problems. If you’ve experienced a traumatic hand injury, you’ll need urgent assessment at a hospital’s Emergency Department or by your General Practitioner. Depending on the severity of your injury, you may need to fast-track your referral and undergo an urgent operation.
